Saab Key Programming
Saab cars built since 1994 use an immobilizer that relies on a set of keys. A new transponder is required for the inclusion of an additional key, as well as special programming. This is usually done by the dealer using a special Tech2 diagnostic tool.

Jump-starting the battery
A lot of people keep the set in their trunks to jump-start a car in case of emergency, but it might not be the best option for vehicles with newer technology. These cars have a variety of computers and digital devices that communicate with each other. A surge in voltage while a battery is hooked up to another could cause damage to the components and render your vehicle unable to drive.
Start the working vehicle and let it run for about two minutes before you connect the cables to the battery that is not working. Attach the red clip on the positive terminal of the good battery.
